Razer brings notebooks for Windows 11

The Razer Blade 15 and Razer Book are being revised and prepared for Windows 11. Tiger Lake CPUs and RTX 3080 GPUs are included.

The gaming manufacturer Razer has equipped two notebooks with new hardware: the Razer Book, which is intended for office work, and the Razer Blade 15 professional model with a dedicated graphics unit. Both notebooks will be upgraded for Microsoft’s Windows 11 OS.

The two notebooks will continue to be equipped with Intel CPUs from the Tiger Lake generation, such as the Core i7-1165G7 or the Core i5-1135G7. The Blade 15 professional model, on the other hand, is equipped with Tiger-Lake-H, which usually works with a power budget of 45 instead of 15 watts and are therefore faster. An AMD Ryzen chip is only available in the 14-inch model of the Blade.

The Blade 15 also has access to Geforce RTX 3000 Mobile GPUs. It starts with the Geforce RTX 3060 Mobile. Alternatively, the RTX 3070 and RTX 3080 Mobile are available to buy. These are each slower than their desktop versions because they also have less power budget. The RTX 3080 Mobile has a maximum of 80 to 150 instead of 300 watts, the RTX 3070 80 to 125 watts instead of 220 watts, and the RTX 3060 60 to 115 instead of 170 watts.

Choice of displays

The Razer Book is again delivered with a 60 Hz IPS panel, which in most cases integrates a touchscreen and has a resolution of 1,920 x 1,200 pixels (16:10). The display diagonal is 13.4 inches (34 cm). The CPU has 8 or 16 GB of soldered RAM and a 256, 512 or 1024 GB SSD.

The Blade 15 professional model is equipped with a 15.6 inch (39.6 cm) IPS panel that can also clock at 144, 165, 240 or 360 Hz. A 60 Hz OLED panel with 4K touchscreen is optional. The standard resolution is 1,920 x 1,080 pixels with an optional upgrade to 1440p. The RAM is at least 16 and a maximum of 32 GB in size. The SSD is 512 or 1024 GB in size.

The Razer Book starts at 1,100 euros. The prices go up to 1,900 euros – for the version with Core i7 CPU, 16 GB of RAM and 1 TB SSD. The Blade 15 starts at 2,400 euros with a Core i7-11800H, Geforce RTX 3070 and 16 GB of RAM. The price goes up to 3,400 euros. There is a 240 Hz QHD panel, a Geforce RTX 3080, 32 GB of RAM and a 1 TB SSD.
